This special 5 week summer program is jam packed with the training you need to move your career to the next level! Whether you are exploring acting for the first time or if you are already an esteemed actor polishing your chops, there is a class for everyone!
You will learn all about the casting process and auditioning tricks to land roles in TV and movies. We go over the ins and outs of the entertainment industry and acting techniques that you will utilize throughout your whole career. Every character is unique and has a story to tell. We explore different methods of character development in order to properly tell the story. You will learn improvisation, cold reading, audition etiquette, scene study, beat analysis, breakdowns, character development, and different acting methods that suit your fancy: Method (Meisner, Strasberg), Classical (Stanislavski, Chekhov), even Melissa K’s Character Self-Actualization Technique! Also, there is no shortage of Acting Games! Each class is exciting, encouraging, supportive, and brings a huge confidence boost! You will leave pumped up!

Melissa K is a certified, award-winning, world-class instructor in the arts. She has students of all ages throughout the US and internationally. Many of her students have careers on Netflix, Disney, Nickelodeon, in Film Festival circuits, as well as a plethora of movies, commercials, television shows, and theater. She paves the way for a successful career for her students and inspires them to find their joy and purpose through their creative talents.

Melissa K’s Performing Arts Workshop includes weekly online and in-person acting classes, private coaching, audition prepping, as well as an international 15-week program for students outside of the United States. Singing, dancing (ballet and hip-hop), public speaking, and youth developmental classes are offered as seasonal programs as well as for contracted schools. Students are of all ages and levels. Classes are grouped as such: pre-school age, children 6-8yr olds, pre-teens, teens, adults, and advanced classes for mixed ages.

ACTING! Every character is unique and has a story to tell. We explore different methods of character development in order to properly tell the story. You will learn improvisation, cold reading, audition etiquette, scene study, film/television/theater acting, character development, voice-over, and different acting methods that suit your fancy: Method (Meisner, Strasberg), Classical (Stanislavski, Chekhov), Uta Hagen Technique, even Melissa K's Character Self-Actualization Technique, and much more!

SINGING! When it comes to music, we find your voice (so to speak). Proper warmups, stage performance, breathing techniques, range development, vocal control, healthy habits, and finding the soul of the piece are some of the essentials that we will cover. Everyone's voice is unique. I help you develop technique and healthy singing (and talking) habits in order to pursue your dreams in the arts!

DANCING! Ballet is at the core of all dance styles. It also builds core muscle strength! I teach the fundamentals and introduce you to this beautiful physical expression. Hip-hop classes are a definite highlight! You will learn pop n lock, body rolls, breakdancing steps, downbeat vs upbeat rhythms, and how to have confidence and personal flare in your groove.

PUBLIC SPEAKING! Command the stage with your powerful message. Along with vocal health and techniques, you will learn how to create a riveting, strong, confident, and authentic public speaking voice and presence. Definitely a confidence builder!

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT! This is a specially tailored private tutoring class that caters to the child’s needs. Sometimes speech, listening, and communication skills take a little longer to develop and I help them discover how to better communicate and learn new concepts through music and creative outlets. Follows a Montessori-like approach.

Placing Orders for Goods

Availability, Errors and Inaccuracies

We are constantly updating Our offerings of Goods on the Service. The Goods available on Our Service may be mispriced, described inaccurately, or unavailable, and We may experience delays in updating information regarding our Goods on the Service and in Our advertising on other websites.

Prices Policy

Payments

All Goods purchased are subject to a one-time payment. Payment can be made through various payment methods we have available, such as Visa, MasterCard, Affinity Card, American Express cards or online payment methods (PayPal, for example).

Payment cards (credit cards or debit cards) are subject to validation checks and authorization by Your card issuer. If we do not receive the required authorization, We will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of Your Order.

Subscriptions

Subscription period

The Service or some parts of the Service are available only with a paid Subscription. You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (such as daily, weekly, monthly or annually), depending on the type of Subscription plan you select when purchasing the Subscription.

At the end of each period, Your Subscription will automatically renew under the exact same conditions unless You cancel it or the Company cancels it.

Subscription cancellations

You may cancel Your Subscription renewal either through Your Account settings page or by contacting the Company. You will not receive a refund for the fees You already paid for Your current Subscription period and You will be able to access the Service until the end of Your current Subscription period.

Billing

You shall provide the Company with accurate and complete billing information including full name, address, state, zip code, telephone number, and a valid payment method information.

Should automatic billing fail to occur for any reason, the Company will issue an electronic invoice indicating that you must proceed manually, within a certain deadline date, with the full payment corresponding to the billing period as indicated on the invoice.

Fee Changes

The Company, in its sole discretion and at any time, may modify the Subscription fees. Any Subscription fee change will become effective at the end of the then-current Subscription period.

The Company will provide You with reasonable prior notice of any change in Subscription fees to give You an opportunity to terminate Your Subscription before such change becomes effective.

Your continued use of the Service after the Subscription fee change comes into effect constitutes Your agreement to pay the modified Subscription fee amount.

Refunds

Except when required by law, paid Subscription fees are non-refundable.

Certain refund requests for Subscriptions may be considered by the Company on a case-by-case basis and granted at the sole discretion of the Company.
